Information & Decision Support Systems

Mission:

Information & Decision Support Systems (IDSS) provides timely, accurate, relevant, user-friendly, and actionable information to inform decision making, support strategic planning, prepare mandated reports and surveys, and assist with business process analyses. IDSS serves the University community, state and federal agencies, and the general public as the clearinghouse for official USF System data.

IDSS operates within the Office of Decision Support under the Vice Provost of Strategic and Budget Planning reporting to the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President.

• IDSS is a principal provider in the effort to implement business information and management reporting strategies for USF and is comprised of data and information analysts, business analysts, process analysts, and report developers.
• IDSS collaborates closely with Planning & Analysis--together forming a complete process of data collection, storage, analysis, modeling, reporting, and delivery.
• IDSS partners with Information Technology (IT) and acts as a liaison between IT and Academic Affairs departments for student information and cross-functional reporting projects.
