Definition
The annual fiscal year giving data includes all contributions actually received during the institution’s fiscal year in the form of cash, securities, company products, and other property from alumni, non-alumni individuals, corporations, foundations, religious organizations, and other groups. Not included in the totals are public funds, earnings on investments held by the institution, and unfulfilled pledges. These data are recorded by the Council for Aid to Education’s Voluntary Support of Education (VSE) Survey. Reported by The Center in Top American Research Universities (TARU). Amounts reported in the 2007 report were for 2005-06.
